StG Learns to "Flush the Stress Away" with Help From Visiting Expert
St. George's Communications Office

Kendyl Brunet knows how to potty train.

Brunet, of Brunet Therapy and Wellness, visited the StG community to present her “Flush the Stress, Find Success” series on potty-training toddlers. Held Wednesday, April 1, the lecture is part of the school’s continuing Parent Education Series. Early Childhood parents spent the morning learning advice to bring to their own child’s potty-training journeys.

Brunet advises beginning the process when a child is 20-30 months old and can communicate needs and follow simple two-step instructions. Brunet said to use positive reinforcement and celebrate attempts when beginning. Other ways to help your child succeed: follow a consistent routine, acknowledge feelings and practice patience.
