StG in July: Pizza, Play and Pals
St. George's Communications Office

Campers are running, playing, sliding, programming, learning and cooking over the course of an action-packed second session of Dragon Camp.

Last week, 1st-4th grade campers prepared their own pizzas for lunch, spreading tomato sauce and cheese over personal pizzas provided by Reginelli's Pizza. Campers then carried the pizzas over to a portable oven to have them cooked for an instantaneous and yummy lunch.

In Pre-K4, campers got some slime time in, using homemade slime provided by camp instructors to play with creating shapes. Another highlight of the second session: watching the New Orleans Youth Theatre perform a stirring rendition of "Wicked" in the Salem Theatre. Other grades are busy with waterplay games, outdoor sessions of freeze tag and reading comprehension activities.
