StG Athletes Break Personal Records, Achieve High Ranks, at NOAL Track Championships

The StG Track and Field Team had amazing wins at the New Orleans Athletic League’s Track & Field championships. Several StG athletes achieved high scores over a series of events, including metered race runs, shot put and hurdle competitions. Go Dragons!

Connor B. placed first in the 5th & 6th Grade Boys 200 meter race, in a stellar performance that also marked his personal best, with a time of 28.03 seconds. Connor had another strong showing in the 5 & 6th Grade Boys 100 meter event, where he placed second with a time of 13. 54 seconds. Louis L. placed 4th in the same event, marking a personal record. Ravi L. and John B. placed second and third for Shot Put. 

Other StG athletes that deserve recognition for outstanding effort and hard work: 

  • Ashton S. - 4th place in the 1600 meter event - a personal record!
  • Austin S - 5th place in the 1600 meter event - a personal record!
  • Johnny, Alex, Austin and Ashton - 4th place in the 800 meter relay 
  • Phillip S. - 4th place in Hurdles - a personal record
  • Louis L. - 5th place in the 200 meter race, and 6th place in the 400 meter event
  • Jonah G. - 7th place in Hurdles
