With candles and songs in hand, students and staff enjoyed a festive evening of worship in celebration of the annual Service of Lessons and Carols. 

The event was held at St. George’s Episcopal Church, located on St. Charles Avenue, the night of Tuesday, Dec. 16. The StG community heard classic holiday music performed by students in 1st - 4th grades, accompanied by 6th and 8th grade members of the Orff Ensemble. Among the featured songs were “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Away in a Manger,” “Silent Night” and “Carol of the Bells.” 

 The Right Reverend Shannon Rogers Duckworth, Bishop of Louisiana, directed the service. Head of School Dr. Joseph Kreutziger also used the opportunity to thank longtime community members for their years of service. The event left families with a sense of holiday cheer as the school gears up for winter break.
