During Wednesday's House sorting ceremony, first graders and new students had their moment in the spotlight. The event is traditionally the first House meeting of the school year, and one of the most exciting House meetings to watch.

First through eighth grade students, accompanied by teachers and faculty members, gathered in the gym for the occasion. Sorted students and faculty wore their own House shirts in support, sporting the red of the Dragons, the white of the Spartans or the blue of the Trojans. House Leader Wade Kimbro announced new and unsorted students, having them take turns at the gym podium to discover their House designation.

Some students ran up, tearing open their envelopes to discover their new House t-shirt, while others took a calmer approach and strolled over to their new teammates. Each new House member received cheers and a hearty round of applause. What a way to kick off another year of StG House activities!
