The StG Community Fund - St. George's Episcopal School

Wherever we are and in any circumstance, St. George's is who we’ve always been-- a community. We remain here for each other, which is why we are relaunching our StG Community Fund, the purpose of which is to lend the shield of St. George to community members who find themselves in need during this difficult time.

The purpose of the StG Community Fund is to help us all through this time of uncertainty by providing the following (with the first bullet point being our priority):

Providing financial resources to our faculty, staff and families who may find themselves in need of that help; examples may include housing assistance due to evacuating, groceries, supplies and more.
Ensuring the StG campus receives the necessary repairs for students and staff to safely return to campus.
Supporting our friends and neighbors who sustained damage and are in need of our support.

Eligibility, Review Process and Award Process

Eligibility

Review Process

We will accept applications on a rolling basis and review them in the order received. Once initial funding is in place, applications will be reviewed as quickly as we can with notifications sent as soon as a decision has been made. Pending final funding amounts, we may not be able to provide awards to all eligible applicants, and some awards in check form may be delayed.

Applications are blindly reviewed (names withheld) by a set panel of administrators and members of the StG Board of Trustees.

Award Process

Awards will be a minimum of $250 as funds allow.
Awards will be in the form that is appropriate for your needs as determined by the review panel. Forms of award may include:
- Gift Cards (groceries, supplies, etc.)
- Direct payment to third party (such as a utility)
- Cash
Awards are considered income and therefore taxable. Please consult a tax advisor if you have any questions.
