Parents Group & Booster Club

St. George's is a family-focused school that encourages parent and guardian involvement. The StG Parents Group, inclusive of the school's Booster Club, welcomes the StG community to participate in the life of the school by attending events and volunteering whenever possible.

The Parents Group

The StG Parents Group is a volunteer organization that holds several community-building and fundraising events each year. Events include Knight at City Park, Sidewalk Side (Mardi Gras) and the Parents Group Soirée—a party and auction held annually—among others. The Parents Group also functions as a school service organization by supporting the school through volunteerism, hosting faculty and staff appreciation events and other activities, directing the monies raised through fundraisers to further support the school. The Parents Group holds open meetings throughout the year.

The Booster Club

The St. George’s Booster Club is a sub-organization of the Parents Group with a goal to support and enhance the school, especially athletics, through fundraising, community-building and spirit-promoting events and activities, as well as promote parent camaraderie through social gatherings. Examples include Field Day grilling, Movie Night and our annual crawfish boil. Booster Club membership is open to all parents, alumni and faculty/staff of St. George’s.

StG Faculty and Staff Appreciation

Parents Group celebrates the compassion and dedication of St. George's faculty and staff throughout the school year, showcase our community's appreciation through the following events and efforts:

August Workshop "Welcome Back" Luncheon
A variety of treats throughout the year, like a coffee truck visit, king cake tasting and/or Theo's lunch
Conference snack and breakfast bars
After Care and Maintenance appreciation meals
Co-hosting the Board of Trustees and Parents Group Holiday Party
Support for the faculty/staff end-of-year gathering
Daily Teacher Appreciation Week themes, such as flower bouquets, heartfelt notes from families, Creole Creamery ice cream and a special luncheon

Campus Beautification

Each year before school begins, our Parents Group hosts parents and guardians as they come together and spruce up campus. Volunteers complete light projects such as painting, gardening and small improvement projects that make a big difference in preparing our school for a fresh start to the year. It’s a fun and meaningful way to lend a hand, connect with other parents and show pride in our St. George’s community

Social Gatherings

Charleston Wrap

Charleston Wrap sales are typically held in September and October. Proceeds from Charleston Wrap sales contribute to the Parents Group's faculty and staff appreciation events and helps fund the StG operating budget. Selections include high-quality wrapping paper, gourmet sauces, candies and preserves, kitchen gadgets and cookware, among other unique items.

Art for Art's Sake

Each October, St. George’s proudly participates in the Magazine Street Merchant Association’s annual Art for Art’s Sake event. This StG celebration highlights collaborative art pieces created by our Creative Arts students and features an arts market with talented vendors from both the StG community and beyond. It’s a vibrant evening that showcases student creativity and connects our school with the wider New Orleans arts scene

Booster Club Movie Night

In the fall, the StG Booster Club hosts a family-friendly Movie Night on the front lawn for the entire StG community. Families are invited to gather under the stars for an evening of fun, complete with a big-screen movie, snacks and plenty of school spirit. It’s a special tradition that brings parents, students and friends together to enjoy a relaxed night in the cooler weather

Angel Tree & Winter Family Event

During the holiday season, the Parents Group coordinates two connected traditions that bring joy to both our StG and Greater New Orleans communities. Through the Angel Tree service project, we partner with The Good Shepherd School to fill backpacks with gifts and essentials for their students, instilling the contentment that comes from making others smile in our own students.

We also celebrate together at the Winter Family Event, held annually on the first Saturday morning in December. This festive, family-friendly gathering welcomes all to enjoy seasonal crafts, tasty treats, photos with Santa and a special Early Childhood activity area led by our faculty. Designed to be inclusive of all winter holidays, the event is hosted by the Parents Group and has become a cherished way for StG families to kick off the holiday season.

Sidewalk Side (Mardi Gras)

Celebrate Mardi Gras StG-style at our annual Sidewalk Side event! Held on the front lawn of the school on the Uptown parade route, this family-friendly gathering offers the perfect spot to enjoy parades with all the comforts of home—bathrooms, food prepared by our Booster Club, drinks, a nursing station and more. It’s a fun and safe place to soak up the excitement of Mardi Gras together.

Booster Club Crawfish Boil

A springtime favorite, the Booster Club Crawfish Boil brings our StG community together for a fun, family-friendly afternoon filled with good food, live music and great company. Along with plenty of crawfish and fixings, kids can enjoy special activities designed just for them, making it an event for the whole family. It’s a lively tradition that celebrates community, school spirit and the joy of being together.

Parents Group Soirée & Auction

Our annual Parents Group Soirée and auction is a highlight of the year—a themed celebration filled with music, food, entertainment and plenty of school spirit. This festive evening gives parents the chance to dress up, mingle and enjoy a night out while supporting StG. Each year brings a new theme and unforgettable memories—most recently the 2025 Bridgerton-inspired StG Spills the Tea: A Bridgerton Garden Party. Watch our recap video below.

Annual Meeting (Board of Trustees)

Each spring, the St. George’s community gathers for the Board of Trustees Annual Meeting, a time to reflect on the accomplishments of the school year and look ahead to the future. This event provides updates from school leadership, highlights key milestones and celebrates the collective efforts of our families, faculty and staff. It is a meaningful way to close out the year together as a community.

Field Day

A beloved StG tradition, Field Day takes place each year on the first Friday in May at Audubon Park. Students join their Houses—the Dragons, the Trojans and the Spartans—for a day of spirited competition in a variety of games and activities. It is a highlight of the school year that brings out teamwork, school spirit and plenty of fun in the sun and wouldn’t be possible without the support of our Booster Club volunteers, who facilitate set-up and grill lunch for all in attendance.

Knight at City Park

Each spring, St. George’s families gather for one of the most magical nights of the year, our annual Knight at City Park. With exclusive access to the City Park Carousel Gardens amusements, this event is a favorite for students, parents and alumni alike. Children two and under, as well as alumni, receive free admission, making it a night of rides, laughter and lasting memories.
