St. George's Learning Community

St. George's aims to resemble the real world—co-educational and filled with diverse, creative learning profiles of neurotypical children, advanced learners and those with diagnosed learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD. Our intentional decision to end in 8th grade honors childhood and provides early opportunities for leadership and a safe place to try and fail.

Defining Our Approach

We are a school that deeply understands learning—how it develops, how it varies and how to support it. Our students include children learning at a traditional pace, advanced learners, those with diagnosed learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD and twice-exceptional learners who show both advanced abilities and learning differences. What unites our community is not any single profile but a shared commitment to whole-child growth, partnership with families and an environment where students feel known and celebrated for their strengths.

For families whose children have language-based learning disabilities, our renowned Resource Services program offers expert, in-house academic support within the school day. We aim to enroll students who are ready to support their classroom community—who can access their education safely and respectfully.

As student needs in today’s world grow more complex, our school remains deeply committed to maintaining a balanced, developmentally appropriate classroom environment.

Here's a clear look at who we are—and who we are not:

We Are...

  • A coeducational, mission-driven community serving students ages 8 weeks through 8th grade
  • A school where small class sizes and differentiated instruction benefit all learners
  • A place where high-ability and supported—including twice-exceptional—students learn side by side
  • Intentional about balance in our student body's learning profiles to preserve a thriving learning environment
  • Home to a robust and lauded Resource Services program embedded within the school day
  • Committed to whole-child growth and nurturing a sense of belonging for all learners

We Are Not...

  • A specialized school exclusively for students with learning disabilities
  • A one-size-fits-all school model
  • A behavior intervention program or therapeutic school
  • Focused solely on remediation or academic catch-up
