Your Family, Your Tuition

Tuition is used primarily to recruit and retain faculty of the highest quality and to maintain St. George's low student-teacher ratios.  Many of our expenses, including the priorities outlined in our 2021-2024 Strategic Plan, are supported by philanthropic contributions. Tuition at StG supports the unique balance of challenge and support received by each and every student in tandem with their respective Success Team, the dynamic small-group format within the classroom learning environment and the academic and social/emotional support provided by our dedicated and highly-trained faculty and staff.

St. George's offers multiple payment plan options to allow our families the opportunity to pay their rate of tuition on a schedule that works best for their family. These are outlined in the "Payment Timeline and Methods" tab of this accordion menu.

St. George's tuition rates reflect a typical school-year calendar that runs from the middle of August through the end of May. Additionally, St. George’s Early Childhood and Lower School divisions offer a summer camp, Dragon Camp, to which StG families have priority for enrollment. School hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with After Care available until 6 p.m. for an additional fee. The only exception is the Nursery, for which school hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. without After Care.

DEWAR Tuition Refund Plan

The DEWAR tuition refund plan provides refund insurance for your financial obligation to pay tuition under the terms of your enrollment agreement. In the event of an unforeseen illness or the need to withdraw your child from St. George’s unexpectedly, without this insurance plan, you would still be required to make full payment of tuition and fees for the remainder of the school year.

DEWAR, our external insurance agency, provides tuition refund insurance at a nominal charge of 1.6% of the annual tuition amount. Information about this plan can be obtained from the DEWAR brochure and at www.tuitionrefundplan.com. The premium, which is billed on the first tuition statement in June, represents 1.6% of the 2024-25 tuition and fee amount. Families may opt out of the coverage before the start of the academic year. To opt out, you must provide written notification no later than August 1, 2024; unfortunately, we will not be able to honor any request to opt out after that date.

Top tuitions for the 2024-2025 school year are inclusive of several fees that were added on as extras prior to the 2022-2023 year, including the registration fee, activity fee (student accident insurance, field trips, art and science fees and classroom activities) textbook and supply fees, laptop fees, athletics fees and Academic Games fees.

Application and Screening Fees
A $75.00 non-refundable application fee is required for prospective students, and a $70 visiting student screening fee is assessed for Pre-K3-8th grade at the time of their student visit to the school. Developmentally-appropriate screening administered by a speech-language pathologist allows St. George's to garner a clearer picture of a child's social-emotional, academic and linguistic profile. These screenings may include both formal or informal assessment measures that vary depending on your child's age and grade level. 

Enrollment Deposit
A $760 non-refundable enrollment deposit is required per child. This full amount is applied as a payment on the last tuition bill for the year. A $240 late enrollment fee will apply to families submitting contracts after the stated deadline.

Incidental Charges
Where applicable, additional charges outside of the above tuition amounts may be incurred throughout the year. Examples include charges for After Care, Resource and speech services and other miscellaneous items. Incidental charges are not included in the DEWAR tuition refund plan.

Resource Services
